There are tolls in both Italy and Austria -
Felbertauern and Lienz, East Tyrol (A)
Travelling along the state road (B100-E66) is the best way to come from southern Germany on the Felbertauernstraße. There’s no toll on this road.

Heading on holiday by train?
Reach South Tyrol by national rail service whether you’re coming from Germany (Deutsche Bahn), Austria (Österreichische Bundesbahnen) or Switzerland (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen).
