Bruneck
This is where the Ahrntal and Gadertal valley meet the lush, green Pustertal valley and where worlds collide – at least, a little bit. In the shops, streets and bars of Bruneck old town you’re just as likely to see school uniforms and trainers as you are to see the latest fashion and traditional hair braids. The architecture in the town and the culture and entertainment on offer are typical for South Tyrol.
Olang
The perfect place for an introduction to skiing. In the winter Kronplatz is at the centre of the action and there’s a valley station slap bang in Olang. The ski shuttle takes just 20 minutes to get you through the valley villages and drop you off at the lifts.
St. Vigil and St. Martin
The villages of St. Vigil and St. Martin in Thurn are the Ladin part of the Kronplatz holiday area. They are truly a perfect getaway location for everyone who wants to experience the stunning Dolomites and culture in which the oldest language in South Tyrol is alive and kicking.
Antholzertal valley
The Antholz Obertal valley biathlon centre is known around the world as the venue for the Biathlon World Cup. Even when this event isn’t going on, though, the Valley is the right place for everyone to experience unspoiled winter landscapes while cross-country skiing. The cross-country skiing trails are prepared every day, leading you through romantic snowy forests, around the Antholzer lake and to the foot of the Staller Saddle, where you’ll feel as though you could reach out and touch the peaks of the Rieserferner Group.
Kiens
If you decide to base yourself in Kiens for your winter holiday, you won’t regret it. It’s just a few kilometres from Bruneck, the lively capital of the Pustertal valley. Just a slight change in altitude will bring you up close to lots of mountain peaks. And you’re only a few minutes’ walk from outstanding hikes in nature and cultural events in the unique green valley.
